CNC Vertical Lathe Processing Technology

The process of CNC vertical lathe processing is similar to that of ordinary lathes. However, since CNC lathes are clamped once and automatically process continuously to complete the turning process, the following aspects should be paid attention to and the cutting amount should be selected rationally: For high-power metal cutting processes Generally speaking, the material to be processed, cutting tools and cutting conditions are the three major factors, which determine the processing time, tool life and processing quality. The economical and effective processing method is to reasonably select the cutting conditions. The three factors of cutting conditions: cutting Speed, feed and depth of cut directly cause damage to the tool. As the cutting speed increases, the tool tip temperature will rise, causing mechanical, chemical, and thermal wear. If the cutting speed is increased by 20%, the tool life will be reduced by 1/2. The feed conditions are related to the back wear of the tool in a small range, but the feed amount is large, the cutting temperature rises, and the back wear is greater, which is more harmful to the tool than the cutting speed. Although the impact of depth of cut on the tool is not as large as that of cutting speed and feed, when cutting with a small depth of cut, the material being cut will produce a hardened layer, which will also affect the life of the tool.
