Operating procedures before machine tool work

1. Read the shift handover record carefully to understand the operation status and existing problems of the machine tools in the previous shift;
2. Check the machine tool, workbench, guide rails and main sliding surfaces. If there are obstacles, tools, iron filings, impurities, etc., they must be cleaned, wiped clean, and oiled;
3. Check whether the workbench, guide rails and main sliding surfaces have any new tension, grinding or bruises. If so, notify the team leader or equipment operator to check together and make a record;
4. Check that the safety protection, braking (stop), limit and reversal devices should be complete and intact;
5. Check that mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other operating handles, valves, switches, etc. should be in non-working positions;
6. Check that each tool holder should be in the non-working position;
7. Check that the electrical distribution box should be closed securely and the electrical grounding is good;
8. Check that the amount of oil in the oil storage part of the lubrication system meets the regulations and is well sealed. The oil mark, oil window, oil cup, oil nozzle, oil line, linoleum, oil pipe and oil separator should be complete and installed correctly. Carry out manual refueling or motorized (hand position) pump refueling according to the lubrication instruction chart, and check whether oil is coming from the oil window;
9. For machine tools that are parked for more than one shift, the machine tool should be idle for 3 to 5 minutes in accordance with the start-up procedures and requirements stipulated in the manual and the use of hydrostatic devices.
